Montrose Academy
Montrose Academy was established in 1996 by Chris Owsley as a homeschool support center, originally operating out of the garage of a local law firm. In 1997, it relocated to the Moscow Church of the Nazarene and formally adopted the name Montrose Academy.
Initially focused on assisting homeschooling families, Montrose offered individual classes and tutoring services, while also providing full academic programs for students pursuing graduation.
The academy celebrated its first graduating class—comprising two students—in 2002. By 2014, Montrose had proudly graduated 51 students and served hundreds of students and families within the community.
