Meet the Headmaster

Chris Owsley Senior brings a lifetime of dedication to education, leadership, and intellectual growth. With a Bachelor of Science in Education, focused on chemistry and mathematics, Chris built a strong academic base that shaped a career with real impact. He also did postgraduate work at St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.

For 12 years, Chris inspired students by teaching Math, Science, and Logic at Logos and became known for clarity, discipline, and a genuine passion for learning. After that, he spent 12 years founding and guiding Montrose Academy. There, he led students as well as faculty with vision and integrity.

Right now, Chris has been serving at SEL for over 16 years, staying committed to excellence and mentorship. His broad experience and careful mindset make him a true master in his lane, always dedicated to forming minds and encouraging lifelong learning.
